Yet\, by October 8th Students for Justice in Palestine were in full gear\, in support of the Hamas terrorist attacks. Who is behind Students for Justice in Palestine? How have they been so effective in convincing our students about the justness of such brutality? How can this be fixed\, so that our society does not become complacent to such acts of terrorism and savagery? \nHere to answer these questions are Dan Diker and Khaled Abu Toameh. \nAbout the Speakers:  \nDaniel Diker is the president of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs\, a public diplomacy and research institute in Jerusalem\, Israel. Dan was born in New York. He earned a BA cum laude from Harvard University and pursued his MBA at the Harvard Graduate School of Business before receiving an MA in government\, counter-terrorism and homeland security studies\, summa cum laude\, from Reichman University in Israel. His dissertation on the Palestinian National Movement and the West was under the supervision of Professor Christian Kaunert\, Department of Security Studies at the University of South Wales\, Cardiff\, UK. \n  \nKhaled Abu Toameh (Arabic: خالد أبو طعمة\, Hebrew: חאלד אבו טועמה; born 1963) is a fellow at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs an Israeli Arab journalist\, lecturer\, and documentary filmmaker. \nAbu Toameh has written for JNS\, The Times of Israel\, The Jerusalem Post\, and for the New York–based Gatestone Institute\, where he is a senior distinguished fellow. He has been a producer and consultant for NBC News since 1989. His articles have also appeared in numerous newspapers around the world. \nKhaled Abu Toameh was born to an Israeli Arab father and a Palestinian Arab mother. He grew up in the Arab-Israeli town Baqa al-Gharbiyye. He received a B.A. in English literature from the Hebrew University and lives in Jerusalem.

David Kuppermann\, Z’L \nWhile many in the international community view the Hamas war on Israel strictly in narrow terms\, as just another Israeli-Palestinian war\, this war is different. This war is all about the Iranian axis of terror\, and its threat to the entire free world. For an immediate ceasefire of the war that Hamas launched on Israel with their barbaric attacks of October 7th\, Iranian-backed Houthis are attacking shipping lanes in the Red Sea\, cutting off a great deal of international commerce\, and Iranian-backed Hezbollah has stepped up the launching missiles onto Israeli towns. Yet\, calls from the international community for an immediate ceasefire are increasing. Renowned scholar\, David Wurmser will be discussing the wider regional and geo-strategic ramifications of this war\, and why calls for an immediate ceasefire will actually backfire against the United States\, Europe\, and the entire free\, Western world. \nAbout the Speaker: David Wurmser is the Director of Middle East Studies and a Senior Scholar at the Center for Security Policy\, as well as a Fellow at the Misgav Institute for National Security and Zionist Strategy. David has served as Middle East Advisor to Former Vice President Dick Cheney\, and as Special Assistant to Former National Security Advisor and UN Ambassador John Bolton. He also served in the US Navy Reserve as an intelligence officer at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. David is also the Founder of the Delphi Global Analysis Group. \nImmediately following the 9/11 attacks\, Dr. Wurmser consulted until January 2002 for the Office of the Secretary of Defense in the U.S. Department of Defense on a war‐related classified project on understanding the nature and strategic significance of terrorist group networks and their interactions with states. Before entering government\, Dr. Wurmser founded the Middle East studies program at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) in 1996. While at AEI Dr. Wurmser published the book\, “ Tyranny’s Ally: America’s Failure to Defeat Saddam Hussein.” \nDavid received his Bachelor’s degree\, his M.A.\, as well as his Ph.D from the Johns Hopkins University. In addition to his book\, he has also been published in The Wall Street Journal\, The Financial Times and Commentary Magazine.

SUMMARY:Update on the War Facing the State of Israel on Several Fronts
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n  \n[READ TRANSCRIPT WILL HERE] \n  \nAfter approximately 80 days of intense fighting in Gaza\, Brigadier General Amir Avivi of the IDF (ret.) will explain the many hardships young IDF soldiers have to overcome in an environment of urban warfare\, where there is approximately a 300-mile “metro” system of deep\, underground tunnels for Hamas rulers to live for months\, where Hebrew recordings of children crying are being made inside dolls to booby-trap soldiers\, and where Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists use women and children as human shields\, using hospitals\, schools and refugee camps\, and inserting themselves inside the Palestinian population. Yet many in the international community want Israel to halt the war before their objectives have been met. \nIn the meantime\, Israel’s northern border near Lebanon has been heating up. On Friday\, Hezbollah strikes killed an IDF officer\, and Israel has therefore stepped up its attacks. As of this writing\, Hezbollah is moving its forces north. It is questionable to know how many of the Hezbollah forces have moved north of the Litani River\, and whether or not they are in compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701. \nWill Israel be drawn into opening up another front in its war? Will Israel be able to attain the goals of its war with Hamas of eliminating the Hamas presence from Gaza\, and rescuing the hostages\, despite attempts by the international community to restrain Israel? \nHere to answer these questions is Brigadier General Amir Avivi\, (Res.) of the IDF. \nAbout the Speaker: Brigadier General (Ret.) Amir Avivi is the Founder and CEO of Israel’s Defense and Security Forum (IDSF) which is comprised of more than 17\,000 senior reserve/retired officers\, commanders\, and operators from all branches of the Israeli security establishment. Retired from the IDF after more than 30 years of military\, counter-terrorism\, and national security experience\, he held various command positions in the Corps of Engineers leading thousands of soldiers in a dynamic environment combating terrorism. \nBrigadier General Amir Avivi (ret.) concluded his service as the Head of the Auditing and Consulting Department of the Israeli Defense Establishment\, (including the Israel Defense Force\, the Ministry of Defense and Israeli Military Industries). In that position\, Avivi managed more than 100 military auditors and advisors. He was responsible for the audit of military readiness\, budgeting\, procurement\, projects\, bids\, cyber\, logistics\, infrastructure and operations. Avivi fulfilled various command positions in the Corps of Engineers leading thousands of soldiers in a dynamic combat environment. \nAvivi served as Brigade commander\, Deputy Division commander and head of the Military School of Engineers. He also served as the aide-de-camp for the Chief of the General Staff of the IDF\, Lt. General Moshe “Bogie” Yaalon. \nAvivi was at the heart of the policy making process in the Israeli Government and Defense establishment during that term. Avivi also serves as the Principal of the New State Solution working group. Avivi is the Founder & CEO of Habithonistim.
