Not only has this status been bequeathed\, along with the “right of return” to cities and towns that are inside of Israel\, but so has a steady and constant indoctrination in profound hatred of the Jew\, and even instruction in military tactics to teach children to be able to overcome and conquer the Jewish state within UNRWA schools and summer camps. \nThis webinar will show real-time footage of how these children are being indoctrinated to hate and kill\, which constitutes the worst sort of child abuse imaginable. \nAbout the Speaker: David Bedein is the Director of The Center for Near East Policy Research. For the last 25 years\, he and his center have been focusing exclusively on the sort of education that Palestinian children are being exposed to in their UNRWA schools and summer camps. He has reported for the Jerusalem Post\, CNN Radio\, Makor Rishon\,  The New  York Post\, The Philadelphia Inquirer\, and Jewish World Review. For four years\, Bedein was the Middle East correspondent for The Bulletin\, writing 1\,062 articles until the newspaper ceased operation in 2010.[4] Bedein has covered attempts at Middle East negotiations centered around Israel—in many major cities of the world. Bedein lives in Efrat with his family.

SUMMARY:The Uncertain Fate of Israel’s Northern Border
DESCRIPTION:  \n[READ TRANSCRIPT HERE] \n  \nFollowing the October 7th barbaric attacks on Israel\, Hezbollah\, the Iranian proxy that sits on Israel’s northern border\, had begun lobbing Katusha rockets\, mortar rockets\, drones\, and anti-tank missiles on Israel’s northern border. The Israeli government has evacuated 43 communities from Israel’s north\, leaving approximately 61\,000 Israelis as “internally displaced refugees.” Many are afraid to go home and are living in temporary residences and hotels until the northern border is more secure. In the meantime\, unfortunately\, both Lebanon and Syria have been strong allies of Hezbollah\, and neither of those two governments seem prepared to take on Hezbollah. Certainly\, the government of Lebanon remains under the tight grip of Hezbollah and is unwilling to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701\, which says that Hezbollah must go north of the Litani River. \nThe government of Israel has been saying for several months now that they will tackle Hezbollah after they have eliminated the threat from Hamas in the south. Do they now have the capability\, commitment\, and will to do this? If not\, what will become of Israel’s northern border\, and of the tens of thousands of evacuees from the north? \nHere to answer these questions is Lieutenant Colonel Sarit Zehavi. \nAbout the Speaker: Lieutenant Colonel (Res.) Sarit Zehavi is the founder and president of Alma – a nonprofit and an independent research and education center specialized in Israel’s security challenges on its northern border. Sarit has briefed hundreds of groups and forums\, ranging from US Senators\, Congressmen/women and politicians to senior journalists and visiting VIP groups in Israel and overseas. Sarit scripts numerous position papers and updates focusing on Lebanon\, Syria and Israel’s national security challenges. She served for 15 years in the Israeli Defense Forces\, specializing in Military Intelligence. Sarit holds an M.A. in Middle East Studies from Ben-Gurion University. Her unique achievements led her to be selected by the Jerusalem Post as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Global Jewish personalities of 2021.

SUMMARY:A Failure to Learn from Past Mistakes: The State Department’s Continuous Insistence on a Palestinian State
DESCRIPTION:  \n[READ TRANSCRIPT HERE] \n  \nAs this is being written\, the State Department is busy submitting plans for a Palestinian State\, to be erected after the war. National Security Advisor\, Jake Sullivan has spoken about a contiguous Palestinian state\, stretching from Gaza through Judea and Samaria\, (the West Bank). He has also spoken about a “revamped and revised” Palestinian Authority. \nWhat guarantees do we have that this state will not become a proxy of Iran? How are we to be assured that\, even assuming the Palestinian Authority were to be “revamped and revised”\, what guarantee do we have that power would not change hands and this entity would not become another jihadist state in the middle of Israel\, making the very survival of Israel extremely difficult\, and giving it indefensible borders? Can the State Department do this without the consent of the Israeli government and the Israeli public? \nHere to answer these questions and more is Dr. David Wurmser. \nAbout the Speaker: Dr. David Wurmser is the Director of Middle East Studies and a Senior Scholar at the Center for Security Policy\, as well as a Fellow at the Misgav Institute for National Security and Zionist Strategy. David has served as Middle East Advisor to Former Vice President Dick Cheney and as Special Assistant to Former National Security Advisor and UN Ambassador John Bolton. He also served in the US Navy Reserve as an intelligence officer at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. David is also the Founder of the Delphi Global Analysis Group. \nImmediately following the 9/11 attacks\, Dr. Wurmser consulted until January 2002 for the Office of the Secretary of Defense in the U.S. Department of Defense on a war‐related classified project on understanding the nature and strategic significance of terrorist group networks and their interactions with states. Before entering government\, Dr. Wurmser founded the Middle East studies program at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) in 1996. While at AEI Dr. Wurmser published the book\, “ Tyranny’s Ally: America’s Failure to Defeat Saddam Hussein.” \nDavid received his Bachelor’s degree\, his M.A.\, as well as his Ph.D from the Johns Hopkins University. In addition to his book\, he has also been published in The Wall Stret Journal\, The Financial Times and Commentary Magazine.

SUMMARY:Russia\, Israel\, and the War with Hamas
DESCRIPTION:  \n[READ TRANSCRIPT HERE] \n  \nThe relationship between Moscow and Jerusalem has gone through many permutations. The Kremlin had initially allied itself with Yasser Arafat and other revolutionary groups\, and during the 1967 Arab-Israeli War\, Russia allied itself with the Arab states\, with some Sovietologists even arguing that Moscow had encouraged and escalated tensions helping to provoke the 6 Day War. In the last decade\, the relationship between Israel and Russia seemed to reach a status quo. When Putin invaded Syria in 2015\, he seemed to allow Israel into their airspace\, primarily for self-defensive operations. \nWhen Russia invaded Ukraine\, Israel walked a very fine line\, diplomatically supporting Ukraine but refusing to impose financial sanctions on Russia. \nHowever\, since Hamas’ brutal attacks on Israel on October 7th\, relations between Moscow and Jerusalem have been radically upended. On October 26th\, shortly after the October 7th massacre\, leading Hamas officials\, including Abu Marzouk\, visited Moscow. On November 2nd\, the Russian Ambassador to the UN\, Vasily Nebenzia\, declared in a speech to the General Assembly that “Israel has no right to defend itself. Since then\, Prime Minister Netanyahu has grouped Russia together with its other existential enemies\, including Iran\, Hamas\, and Hezbollah. \nWhat is Russia’s role in this new world order? What does Iran provide to Russia\, and what is Russia getting out of its relationship with Iran and its proxy terrorist groups? How is the United States to respond? \nTo answer these questions and more\, come hear Dr. Stephen Blank. \nAbout the Speaker: Dr. Stephen Blank is an internationally recognized expert on Russian foreign and defense policies and international relations across the former Soviet Union.  He is also a leading expert on European and Asian security\, including energy issues.  Since 2020 he has been a Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute www.fpri.org.  In 2020-21 he also was a Senior Expert for Russia at the U.S. Institute of Peace  From 2013-2020 he was a Senior Fellow at the American Foreign Policy Council\, www.afpc.org From 1989-2013 he was a Professor of Russian National Security Studies at the Strategic Studies Institute of the U.S. Army War College in Pennsylvania.  Dr. Blank has been Professor of National Security Affairs at the Strategic Studies Institute since 1989.  In 1998-2001 he was Douglas MacArthur Professor of Research at the War College. \nDr. Blank has consulted for the CIA\, major think tanks and foundations\, chaired major international conferences in the USA and abroad In Florence\, Prague\, and London\, and has been a commentator on foreign affairs in the media in the United States and abroad.  He has also advised major corporations on investing in Russia and is a consultant for the Gerson Lehrmann Group. He has published over 1300 articles and monographs on Soviet/Russian\, U.S.\, Asian\, and European military and foreign policies\, including publishing or editing 15 books\, testified frequently before Congress on Russia\, China\, and Central Asia for business\, government\, and professional think tanks here and abroad on these issues.  He has also appeared on CNN\, BBC\, Deutsche Welle\, CNBC Asia\, and is a regular guest on VOA. \nPrior to his appointment at the Army War College in 1989 Dr. Blank was Associate Professor for Soviet Studies at the Center for Aerospace Doctrine\, Research\, and Education of Air University at Maxwell AFB.  He also held the position of 1980-86: Assistant Professor of Russian History\, University of Texas\, San Antonio\, 1980-86\, and Visiting Assistant Professor of Russian history\, \nUniversity of California\, Riverside\, 1979-80. \nDr. Blank’s M.A. and Ph.D. are in Russian History from the University of Chicago. His B.A is in History from the University of Pennsylvania.
