SUMMARY:Hezbollah: Retraining\, Rearming and Rebooting
DESCRIPTION:  \n\nThe transcript will be available here \nHezbollah\, the radical Shiite political party and terrorist militia\, has been known as a “state within a state” in Lebanon since the fifteen-year Lebanese Civil War from 1975 through 1990. The over-riding conviction of the Iranian-backed terror proxy is its violent opposition to the existence of Israel and its rejection of Western values\, norms\, and influences of the Middle East. \nOn September 17\, 2024\, Israeli intelligence services planted explosives\, near the batteries of thousands of Hezbollah’s pagers. In what is referred to as “Operation Exploding Pager”\, these instruments exploded simultaneously throughout Lebanon and Syria. The following day\, hundreds of walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah also exploded. On September 27\, 2024\, the Hezbollah leader\, Hassan Nasrallah\, was killed by a strike by the Israeli air force over Dahiya\, a suburb of Beirut and a Hezbollah strong hold. \nMeanwhile however\, Hezbollah has been retrenching itself in southern Lebanon. On Saturday\, November 1st\, the IDF struck a vehicle with four Hezbollah Radwan terrorists inside. According to the Jerusalem Post\, the commander of these forces were attempting to re-establish the Hezbollah infrastructure and the transfer of weapons on the ground in southern Lebanon \nAt the same time\, Iran has been developing a proxy network of Hezbollah bases in neighboring Iraq\, aligned with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-l Quds force\, that can launch long-range missile and drone attacks toward Israel. \nWestern officials have recently said that “Hezbollah is rebuilding faster than the Lebanese government is dismantling them.” \nAbout Our Speaker: Lieutenant Colonel (Res.) SUMMARY:The Rise of Antisemitism within the United States
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \nFor perhaps the first time in our history\, the Jewish community in the United States is feeling besieged by unprecedented attacks on both the extreme left\, and the extreme right. The Jewish community of New York City\, the largest community of Jews outside of Israel\, is feeling frightened\, abandoned and confused. Tucker Carlson has given the white supremacist\, and Holocaust-denier\, Nick Fuentes a welcome embrace\, and Kevin Roberts of the Heritage Foundation had uncritically defended Tucker Carlson. This has led to several resignations within Heritage\, and\, after a week of outrage\, a later apology from Kevin Roberts. There is also a growing isolationist trend within republican politics.  We are seeing a civil war within the right. \nHowever\, that right-wing “civil war” pales in comparison to the woke embrace of radical left-wing socialists who are sympathetic to radical Islamists on the left. The recent mayoral election in New York of Zohran Mamdani has us greatly alarmed. Mr. Mamdani has made inflammatory statements regarding the state of Israel\, calling what is happening in Gaza a “genocide”. While a student at Bowdoin College\, he formed an alliance with the radical left-wing Jewish group J Street and subsequently shut the alliance down.  He has made deftly-crafted  statements such as\, “My support for BDS is consistent with the core of my politics\, which is nonviolence. And I think that it is a legitimate movement when you are seeking to find compliance with international law.” He is attempting to threaten the partnership of Cornell and the Technion in Haifa\, and has vowed to “arrest” Prime Minister Netanyahu\, if he even lands in New York. Based on interviews in the New York Times\, his words represent the views of thousands of Muslims throughout the United States. \nIn August of 1790\, President George Washington wrote a letter to the congregation of Newport\, Rhode Island\, saying “May the children of the stock of Abraham who dwell in this land continue to merit and enjoy the good will of the other inhabitants—while every one shall sit in safety under his own vine and fig tree and there shall be none to make him afraid.” \nAre we\, Jews of America\, still feeling that same sense of “safety” today? \nHere to discuss this is Eric Mandel.  \nAbout our Speaker: Dr. Eric Mandel is the founder and Director of MEPIN™\, the Middle East Political Information Network™. Meanwhile\, despite assurances from Lebanese President Joseph Auon that Hezbollah would be disabled\, there have been no demonstrable signs of that. On November 10th\, President Trump also met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa\, the first time a Syrian President has visited the White House. President Trump had described the former al-Quada leader as a “ young\, attractive guy-tough guy with a strong past.” Only months ago\, there was a $10 million bounty on his head. On November 6th\, exactly 4 days before the Trump-al Sharaa meeting\, the United Nations lifted all sanctions against al-Sharaa.
