SUMMARY:What Are the Ramifications and The National Security Implications of the Israeli Hostage Deal?
DESCRIPTION:The transcript will be available here \nWhile many of us are still feeling a sense of unbridled euphoria to see last Sunday’s release of Romi Gonen\, 24\, Emily Damari\, 28\, and Doron Steinbrecher\, 31\,  and the return into the arms of their loved ones\, we all have lingering concerns regarding the national security implications of this deal. \nHow many hostages will be released over the next 42 days\, and in what condition\, and in exchange for whom? Precisely which terrorists\, exactly\,  will be released from Israeli prisons in exchange for the Israeli hostages? What was the nature of their crimes?  How will this effect Iran\, and all of their terrorist proxies? Will this simply encourage the abduction of more innocent people\, in Israel and around the globe? Does Hamas regard the asymmetrical balance as a victory for their cause? How much of Hamas is left\, and will Israel be able to control the Netzarim crossing and the Philadelphi corridor? If there is a remnant of Hamas left that inspires other young Palestinians\, should this be\, in reality\, construed as a victory for the state of Israel? How will this effect the ongoing instability in Judea and Samaria? \nBrigadier General Amir Avivi is here to answer these questions and more. \nAbout our Speaker: \nAmir Avivi (born 16 April 1969) is a retired Israeli Brigadier General  at Israeli Defense Forces. He served as a military lieutenant at the Defense Establishment Comptroller Unit\, he is the commander of Sagi Brigade and the chief of Israeli general and politician Moshe Ya’alon. \nHe is a very well sought out speaker and expert\, who has appeared regularly on international news outlets. His outlook has made a great impression on policy makers around the globe. \nIn 2020\, he founded the NPO “Habithonistim” (הביטחוניסטים) which consists of mainly high-ranking members of the Israeli security forces\, and has been its leader ever since. In May 2023\, Avivi’s book We Will Not Go Back: How We Will Guarantee Israel’s Security for Generations (לא נשוב אחור: כיצד נבטיח את ביטחון ישראל לדורות) was published.

SUMMARY:Fighting Antisemitism on College Campuses
DESCRIPTION:The transcript will be available here \n  \nAs bad as the state of affairs appeared on college campuses prior to the October 7th massacre of Israelis by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s terror proxy Hamas that included BDS resolutions and interrupting Jewish speakers at campus events\, the situation has gotten exponentially worse as antisemitism has exploded in ways many could never have imagined since that tragic day. The pathetic response – or lack thereof – by college presidents and other university administrators and boards of trustees\, as well as the Biden administration that opted not to enforce President Trump’s first term executive order intended to protect Jews on campus\, has in many ways greenlighted the terrorism supporters who seemingly have free rein to intimidate\, harass\, and assault Jewish students and faculty with little to no repercussions. With Trump back in office already signing new executive orders aimed at addressing this serious situation\, there is hope that serious changes will be taking place to protect the civil rights\, safety and security of Jews on campus.  Ken Marcus has been on the frontlines of civil rights matters addressing rising antisemitism on college campuses for much of his professional career including serving as the Assistant Secretary of Education for its Office of Civil Rights in Trump’s first term. Please join us for an in-depth conversation with Ken Marcus discussing the status of the fight against antisemitism on college campuses including through lawfare\, the filing of civil rights claims by victims with governmental agencies\, threats to pull federal funds\, the passage of the Antisemitism Awareness Act\, and the enforcement of rules and regulations that have been ignored to date. \nAbout the Speaker: \nKenneth L. Marcus is founder and chairman of the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law; Professional Lecturer in Law at The George Washington University Law School; Distinguished Senior Fellow of the Center for Liberty & Law at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School; and author of The Definition of Anti-Semitism (Oxford University Press) and Jewish Identity and Civil Rights in America (Cambridge University Press). \nDuring his public service career\, Marcus served as Assistant U.S. Secretary of Education for Civil Rights; Staff Director at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights; and General Deputy Assistant U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity. \nIn academia\, he formerly held the Lillie and Nathan Ackerman Chair in Equality and Justice in America at the City University of New York’s Bernard M. Baruch College School of Public Affairs and served as Visiting Research Professor of Political Science at Yeshiva University. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Contemporary Antisemitism and previously served as Associate Editor of the Journal for the Study of Anti-Semitism. \nEarlier in his career\, Mr. Marcus was a litigation partner in two major law firms\, where he conducted complex commercial and constitutional litigation. He also currently chairs the Executive Committee of the Federalist Society for Law & Public Policy Civil Rights Practice Group. \nHe has published widely in academic journals as well as in more popular venues such as The Wall Street Journal\, Washington Post\, Newsweek\, USA Today\, and Politico.  Mr. Marcus is a graduate of Williams College\, magna cum laude\, and the University of California at Berkeley School of Law.

SUMMARY:Breaking the Paradigm in the Middle East
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nThe transcript will be available here \n  \nPresident Donald Trump’s recent statements alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have introduced a dramatic shift in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Trump called for the resettlement of nearly 2 million Palestinians outside of Gaza. This proposal would mark a significant departure from previous diplomatic efforts\, effectively dismantling the two-state solution and cementing Israeli control over disputed territories\, including Judea and Samaria. Trump’s remarks suggest that America may soon recognize Israeli sovereignty in these areas\, further upending decades of negotiations based on the Oslo Accords. His approach builds upon his previous diplomatic breakthroughs\, such as the Abraham Accords\, and positions Israel as having secured a definitive victory against its adversaries\, including Hamas\, Hezbollah\, and Iranian-backed forces. \nThe implications of Trump’s proposal are far-reaching. If Palestinian resettlement occurs\, it would permanently alter the demographic and political landscape of the region\, strengthening Israel’s position. However\, questions remain about where displaced Palestinians would go and how neighboring Arab nations would react. While Netanyahu and Trump emphasize strength as the pathway to peace\, resistance from the international community and regional actors could complicate the plan. \nWhere do we go from here? If resettlement becomes the new reality\, how will the logistics be managed\, and which countries will accept large numbers of Palestinians? Will the U.S. and Israel provide economic incentives for resettlement\, and if so\, how will those be structured? If Arab nations reject the plan\, what alternatives exist for ensuring stability in the region? And ultimately\, will this approach lead to lasting peace\, or will it create new sources of conflict? \nAbout our Speaker: Alex Traiman is the CEO and Jerusalem Bureau Chief of the Jewish News Syndicate and host of Jerusalem Minute. A seasoned Israeli journalist\, documentary filmmaker\, and startup consultant\, he is an expert on Israeli politics and U.S.-Israel relations. He has interviewed top political figures\, including Israeli leaders\, U.S. senators\, and national security officials\, with insights featured on major networks like BBC\, Bloomberg\, CBS\, NBC\, Fox\, and Newsmax. A former NCAA champion fencer and Yeshiva University Sports Hall of Fame member\, he made aliyah in 2004 and lives in Jerusalem with his wife and five children.

SUMMARY:Voices from Gaza and from Syria
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \nAs Israel has fought to dismantle much of Hamas’ infrastructure in Gaza\, and the international community is evaluating President Trump’s plan\, many in the foreign policy world have been wondering what the population itself in Gaza believes.  Although the totalitarian terrorist regime of Hamas\, which remains in control of the population\, has placed a sealed blockage of communication around the true feelings of the inhabitants\, Ahed and Hadeel work for an organization that has been able to send people into Gaza and document their actual feelings. They have created a platform for voices that otherwise would have been silenced\, and unknown to the outside world. \n\n\nBeyond that\, both Ahed and Hadeel are Syrian refugees who were imprisoned and tortured by the Bashar al-Assad regime for founding a secular\, anti-regime student organization. Come and hear their firsthand accounts of their experiences under Assad’s rule\, as well as their assessments of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the administration of Ahmed al-Sharaa (Mohammad al-Jolani). \nAhed is a senior fellow at the Center for Peace Communications\, has written for Foreign Affairs\, and has worked with Advancing Human Rights and the Extremist Watch Desk at Voice of America. \nHadeel Oueis is the director of Arabic Communications at the Center for Peace Communications. She majored in law and\, in 2011\, at the age of 18\, was arrested by the Assad regime for her key role in the early days of the Syrian protests. In 2012\, a U.S. delegation in Geneva met with Oueis and facilitated her relocation to the United States. She now analyzes U.S. policies in the Middle East for major Arabic networks and has reported extensively on the Jews of the Middle East for various Arabic publications. \nThe founder and President of the Center for Peace Communications\, Joseph Braude\, is an expert on the nexus of culture and politics in Arab societies and an active presence in the region’s media and policy debates. He studied Near Eastern languages at Yale and Arabic and Islamic history at Princeton. He developed his Arabic to broadcast quality over a seven-year stint on Moroccan national radio and added Persian to his Arabic and Hebrew as a graduate student at the University of Tehran.

SUMMARY:Brigadier General Amir Avivi (Res.) and Creative Solutions to the Palestinian Conflict
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \n  \nFor decades\, the same old\, failed paradigm of “land for peace” has been offered to the Palestinians. We have seen that every piece of Israeli land ceded to the Palestinians has been used as a launching pad for further attacks against Israelis\, Jews\, and foreigners. It is time for some new\, strategic thinking. We are delighted that President Trump has dismantled the conventional foreign policy establishment’s thinking and is opening the door to some new “out of the box” formulations. Brigadier General Avivi has come up with some creative solutions to ensure that Israel and her neighbors can survive and thrive for generations to come. \nSarah Stern will be interviewing Brigadier-General Amir Avivi\, Chairman and Founder of the Israel Defense and Security Forum (IDSF) on March 12\, 2025 at 10 a.m. Israel time. This event will be pre-recorded\, and brought to you at 12 noon on Wednesday\, March 12th\, 9 a.m. Pacific time\, and 7 p.m. Israel time. \nAbout our Speaker: Brig. Gen. (Res.) Amir Avivi is the founder and chairman of IDSF. \nDuring his service\, Amir held a series of senior roles in the IDF\, including Deputy Comptroller of the Security Forces\, Director of the Office of the Chief of Staff\, Deputy Commander of the Gaza Division\, Commander of the Sagi Division\, Commander of Batallion 605 and Commander of the School of Combat Engineering. \nIDSF represents a group of 35\,000 reserve officers and operatives from all branches of the Israeli security forces dedicated to guiding the narrative of Israel’s national security needs and ensuring that Israel’s security in the homeland of the Jewish people is never taken for granted. \nAt the core of IDSF lies the belief that Israel’s security must be anchored in its ability to protect itself\, by itself\, while actively thwarting threats to its safety. The authoritative voices of well-known military veterans\, media personalities and national security experts\, are key in disseminating our security strategy for the State of Israel.

SUMMARY:Battleground Israel - Domestic troubles & the renewed fight against Iran's terror proxies
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \nTo the average viewer\, the Middle East is now at a very serious juncture. On October 19\, 2023\, the Yeminis Houthis began to strike ships in the Red Sea\, and on December  4\, 2023\, they began to strike commercial shipping lanes in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait of the Gulf of Eden\, striking United States warships over 170 times. They have also re-initiated launching missiles at Israel. The United States\, under President Trump\, had decided to strike back with “overwhelming lethal force.” \nAfter failing to respond to the next stage of negotiations offered by President Trump’s envoy\,  Steve Witkoff\, including the failure to release the American hostage\, Eden Alexander\, (along with the remaining live and dead hostages)\, the  Israelis have initiated renewed strikes on Hamas in Gaza. Was there something else Israeli military intelligence knew to cause it to strike at Gaza now\, or has Israel finally reached a limit in allowing Gaza to be governed by Hamas? And is  Israel’s plan now to give up on the remaining 60 or so hostages languishing in Hamas’ terror tunnels? \nWhat is Trump’s response to the Arab plan initiated in Cairo? \nWhat about Hezbollah on the northern front? Will they hold their fire\, as the Israeli military is being occupied in Gaza? What is happening in Judea and Samaria? How is Israel responding to Ahmed al Sharaa and  the Hyatt Tahrir al Shams takeover of Syria? \nWhat is happening with judicial reform? Why is the Shin Bet Chief\, Ronen Bar\, being fired? Is there an internal Israeli progressive attempt to undermine the Trump-Netanyahu relationship? \nMost importantly: What is happening on the Iranian nuclear front? Will the United States finally assist Israel in removing this threat? \nAnd finally: How is the Trump era of foreign policy different from those of his predecessors? What are realistic diplomatic and strategic goals for Israel to set in the era of Donald Trump? \nHere to answer these questions and more is Alex Traiman\, CEO and Jerusalem Bureau Chief of the Jewish News Syndicate. \nAbout our speaker: Alex Traiman is CEO and Jerusalem Bureau Chief of the Jewish News Syndicate. A veteran Israeli journalist\, radio-show host\, documentary filmmaker and startup consultant\, he writes on Israeli politics and U.S.-Israel relations. He has conducted one-on-one interviews with Israeli officials\, among them Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\, whose recent speech to a joint session Congress he attended and covered. Other key figures include members of the Knesset\, government and War Cabinet. He has also interviewed U.S. senators\, congressmen\, ambassadors\, former CIA heads and national security advisers. He interviewed then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on an official visit to Jerusalem. He has appeared on the BBC\, Bloomberg\, CBS\, NBC\, FOX\, News Nation and Newsmax\, and is a frequent guest on WABC and CBS radio. SUMMARY:Qatar’s Growing Influence in the United States
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \n  \nThe tiny gas-rich nation of Qatar has deftly exerted its influence on the education of our children stemming from our children’s education from kindergarten through 12th grade\,  to  our university campuses\, where billions in Qatari foreign funding have flown into our nation’s universities\, including  in particular\, to  Georgetown\, Harvard\, Cornell\, Northwestern\, University of Michigan\, Texas A and M and Carnegie Mellon. It has also exerted an oversized influence on our nation’s think tanks and policy makers\, and on our Western media. Qatar tailors its media arm\, Al Jazeera\, in English to appeal to a Western audience\, while Al Jazeera in Arabic serves as a mouthpiece for Hamas.  As Qatar exerts its influence on our nation’s Middle East Studies programs\, it simultaneously funds\, supports\, trains\, and hosts the leaders of Hamas in Doha. It has transferred more than 1.8 billion dollars to Hamas over the years. It uses a completely autocratic system\, run by Sunni Sharia law. Qatar has also been involved in brandishing its name\, utilizing well-paid lobbyists in Washington by hosting US influencers and trying to conceal their payment to their  lobbyists. \nQatar is also home to the Al Udeid air base\, where the US has more than 40\,000 military personnel. \nAbout our Speaker: Clare M. Lopez\, a regular online blog contributor at Newsmax as well as on-air with One America News\, Al-Hurra & Sky News\, is Founder/President of Lopez Liberty LLC\, w/a mission to alert Americans to national security threats\, both international & from the Islamic Movement/Muslim Brotherhood & their Marxist collaborators in this country. She supported former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan & Tom Trento at Defend the Border/The United West & was an instructor for John Guandolo’s Understanding the Threat “Into Action” program & its online National Security Academy. SUMMARY:October 7th and the Holocaust
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nThe transcript will be available here \n  \nBased on Dr. Rafael Medoff’s forthcoming book: The Road to October 7\, Hamas\, the Holocaust\, and the Eternal War Against the Jews. The Road to October 7 explores the conditions and ideologies that led to the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7\, 2023\, and its aftermath. It documents the rise of Hamas\, the indoctrination of Palestinian Arab children to hate and kill\, diplomatic decisions that enabled the assault\, and the spread of anti-Israel and antisemitic narratives across global institutions and media. It also analyzes how the Hamas massacre echoed earlier chapters of antisemitic violence—from medieval pogroms to Czarist Russia\, Ukraine\, the Holocaust\, and a century of Palestinian Arab terrorism. It draws connections between the universities in the United States that fostered ties with Nazi Germany in the 1930s and those that tolerated or supported pro-Hamas activism after October 7. The narrative sheds light on antisemitic education in Palestinian Arab society\, the emergence of pro-Hamas groups on U.S. campuses\, the failures of women’s and human rights organizations to respond to mass sexual violence\, and the global misinformation about Israel’s conduct in the ensuing war. October 7 is presented not as an isolated event\, but as a pivotal moment in the century-long Palestinian Arab war against Israel—and in the broader\, centuries-old international war against the Jewish people. \nAbout Our Speaker: Dr. Rafael Medoff is founding director of The David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies\, in Washington\, D.C.\, and the author of more than 20 books about the Holocaust\, Zionism\, and Jewish history. Medoff received his PhD from Yeshiva University in New York City in 1991. Medoff has taught Jewish history at Ohio State University\, Purchase College of the State University of New York\, and elsewhere. Medoff has served on the editorial boards of American Jewish History\, Southern Jewish History\, Shofar and Menorah Review.

SUMMARY:The Druze Question in Ahmad al Sharaa’s Syria
DESCRIPTION:The transcript will be available here \nOn Friday morning\, Israeli warplanes struck at an area next to the Syrian capital in Damascus. This strike came after days of clashes from the pro-Syrian government of Ahmad al-Sharaa\, attacking the Druze community near Damascus\, leaving dozens of people dead or wounded. \nOn Thursday\, Syria’s Druze spiritual leader Sheikh Hikmat Al-Hijri harshly criticized Syria’s government for what he called an “unjustified genocidal attack” on the minority community. Yet\, others withing the Druze community are issuing calls not to break away from the nation of Syria. \nWhy is Israel coming in to support the Druze community? What are the pros and cons of this move? Will this trigger a counter-reaction among the Druze or the Syriam population as a whole? Will this be opening up another front of the war? \nAbout Our Speaker \nLt.-Col. (res.) Dr. Mordechai Kedar is a distinguished professor of  Arabic & Middle East literature and culture at Israel’s Bar Ilan University and a research associate at the University’s Begin-Sadat (BESA) Center for Strategic Studies.  Dr. Kedar is a 25-year veteran of IDF Military Intelligence. \nDr. Kedar is a sought-after lecturer in Israel and abroad and his extensive experience on intelligence\, counterterrorism and Arab and Middle East affairs coupled with his charisma and intelligence makes every encounter fascinating and his geo-strategic analysis captivating. Dr. Kedar has frequently appeared on Israel’s television news networks as well as the Arabic-language Al Jazeera television network.

SUMMARY:What are the moral\, humanitarian and legal obligations of an attacked people to provide humanitarian aid and support to their enemies?
DESCRIPTION:The transcript will be available here \n  \nAs we all know\, on October 7\, 2023\, the Jewish people and the state of Israel endured the most difficult day of its existence since the Holocaust. We are all haunted to this day by the searing  images of Jewish children being burned in ovens in front of their parents; of parents tied to chairs and slaughtered in front of their children; of women and men being murdered or physically raped and tortured and paraded in front of cheering crowds in Gaza. Meanwhile\, 51 hostages remain in captivity in Gaza. No one knows exactly who is alive and what sort of hell-like conditions they have had to endure. \nOn Monday\, May 5th\, Israel’s Cabinet approved a new plan for the distribution of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.  We have seen\, over the last 19 months\, how Hamas has commandeered and looted the food aid delivery and how the United Nations and the International Red Cross has not visited our hostages\, even once. \nWhat are the moral and legal obligations of an attacked people towards their attackers?  What does International Law say is advisable in such a situation? What are the moral\, the legal and in the humanitarian obligations of the Jewish nation toward their enemies? \nAbout our Speaker: \nHere to discuss this is Moshe Jaffee. Moshe received his LLM from Columbia University Law School\, and is working on his doctorate at the University of Michigan Law School. He teaches a class on Constitutional and International Law at Cardoza University School of Law\, and at The Academic Center for Law and Science in Israel and has lectured at Harvard University Law School and at West Point.  Moshe is a member of the IDF’s Advocate General Corps.

SUMMARY:President Trump’s Middle East Trip and the National Security Implications for the State of Israel
DESCRIPTION:The transcript will be available here \n  \nAs President Trump concluded his Middle East Trip\, he was gifted with a $400 million plane from the Qataris to replace Air Force One\, a defense deal from the Qataris that with investment pledges to the United States worth over two trillion dollars from the Saudis and the United Arab Emirates\, as well as the Qataris. The Qatari military will be purchasing billions in US armaments\, including 210 state-of the-art Boeing jets\, the UAE purchasing state of the art AI intelligence\, and the Saudis have purchase over $1trillion worth of deals\, plus the possibility of helping Saudi Arabia build a nuclear reactor. \n On top of that\, he has met with the former Al Qaeda and ISIS jihadist now in charge of Syria\, Ahmed al-Sharaa\, lifting sanctions\, and stating that this “would give Syria a fresh start.” Up until December\, Ahmed al-Sharaa had a $10 million bounty on his head. \nTrump has also just removed the CAATSA sanctions on Turkey and has promised  Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that he will unlock a $23 billion F-16 deal\, with Turkey’s aspirations for joining the F-35 program. On top of this\, without any prior discussion with Israeli Prime Netanyahu\, he has secured the release of dual American-Israeli citizen Edan Alexander. \nEven more troubling\, President Trump’s administration is engaged in high level nuclear talks with the Islamic Republic of Iran. In 2018\, President Trump withdrew from the JCPOA. Now\, he is saying\, “We are getting very close to securing a nuclear deal with Iran.” \nHere to make some sense of these recent developments is Dr. Emmanuel Navon. \nAbout Our Speaker: \nDr. Emmanuel Navon is an International Relations scholar and author. SUMMARY:Antisemitism: How We Arrived Here & Where To Go Now
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \n  \nWhy are Jews hated? What are the elements of Jew hatred today? Why does this hate persist\, now reaching record highs? What should we do about it? \nThese central questions are addressed in the presentation “Antisemitism and the Nature of Jew Hate\,“ from the Confronting Antisemitism Network (CAN). It is designed to educate and open minds to understanding the world’s oldest hate\, in the belief that we can’t hope to stop it if we don’t understand it first. \nCAN’s presentation is unlike traditional presentations on this subject. It’s not about the Holocaust\, or ancient history. It offers both a model of how hate evolves as well as practical steps to sanction hateful acts in order to modify the haters’ behaviors and get them to stop. \nThrough addressing hard questions\, CAN works to empower people everywhere to recognize and push against hate when they encounter it. \nAbout our Speakers:  \n\nTony Katz is a Jewish civil rights activist and advocate. During his 45 year career\, he supported causes and issues in Washington DC and New York City at the executive leadership levels in the strategic communications and reputation management industry – for respected client institutions\, industry trade associations\, and Fortune 500 companies. In 2020 he founded CAN to help in the fight against antisemitism. \nAvi Goldwasser is a social activist and film producer. He is a cofounder of both the David Project supporting Jewish students on college campuses and the Jewish leadership project\, working to develop strong Jewish leaders. He was a member of the Boston Board of Directors of the American Jewish Committee and the Jewish Community Relations Council. He was also a financial executive in the high-tech industry\, serving as CFO for NYSE companies.

SUMMARY:Colonel Richard Kemp and the Morality of the War
DESCRIPTION:The transcript will be available here \n  \nEver since October 7th\, Colonel Richard Kemp has been on the ground in Israel\, in Gaza\, and in the terror tunnels throughout Lebanon. He\, undoubtedly\, has been one of Israel’s strongest advocates within the international community.  How do the actions of Israel during this long war stack up against those of other nations who have been attacked and are forced to fight within an urban combat setting? \nHow is Israel able to achieve its war goals\, with members of the international community parroting Hamas’ numbers and their exaggerated humanitarian claims? After 20 months\, will the Israeli people still have the will to continue to fight its war on seven fronts? Can we defeat a radical terrorist ideology? How important is the success of this war to the defeat of antisemitism? \nAnd finally: How would he advise the government of Israel while facing down the existential threat of an Iranan nuclear bomb? \nAbout Colonel Richard Kemp \n Colonel Richard Kemp has spent most his life fighting terrorism and insurgency\, commanding British troops on the front line of some of the world’s toughest hotspots\, including Afghanistan\, Iraq\, the Balkans and Northern Ireland. He is now a writer\, a prolific journalist\, media commentator and motivational speaker. He provides strategic consultancy services on leadership\, security\, intelligence\, counter-terrorism and defense. \nRichard was sent to Kabul\, Afghanistan in 2003 to take command of British Forces in Afghanistan. Realizing that there was an increasing terrorist threat\, but no resources or plans in place to deal with it\, he immediately put together an unconventional force of British troops and US Marines. They begged\, borrowed and stole equipment to gain intelligence and launch covert surveillance. Writing about Richard\, the Canadian general commanding international forces at the time said: “His efforts led directly to the most successful offensive counter-terrorist operations in Kabul\, with several key terrorist leaders now under arrest\, significantly setting back the enemy campaign.” Along the way\, Richard helped to disarm local warlords\, trained the fledgling Afghan army and police and even played a part in preventing a coup d’état against President Hamid Karzai. \nRichard joined the British Army the day after he left school\, and spent the next 30 years in some of the world’s most notorious trouble spots.  In 1993 he was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire by the Queen for intelligence work in Northern Ireland. Most of the last five years of Richard’s military career were spent in Downing Street as head of the international terrorism team at the Joint Intelligence Committee\, where he was responsible for producing assessments on the growing global terrorist problem for the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. \nColonel Kemp is a frequent contributor to television and print media\, and is the author of Attack State Red\,  with Chris Hughes\, and account of the Afghanistan campaign undertaken by the Royal Anglican Regiment.  Colonel Kemp is Chairman of the UK Friends of the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers (UK-AWIS)\, the UK branch of AWIS\, an Israeli organization managed by the Israel Defense Forces and headed by General Yoram Yair. Colonel Richard Kemp was a 2017 recipient of EMET’s coveted “Speaker of the Truth Award.”

SUMMARY:The State of the Relationship Between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump
DESCRIPTION:The transcript will be available here \nAs all of you are aware by now\, Israel has embarked upon “Operation Rising Lion”\, striking out against the heart of the Iranian nuclear threat against Israel. As Secretary of State Marco Rubio has declared\, “We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region. Israel advised us that they believe this action was necessary for its self-defense.”  He also said on Thursday night\, “Tonight\, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region.” \nHowever\, President Trump did declare on Friday morning that “The United States will defend Israel\, if attacked.” \nThe United States was certainly made aware of what was about to occur. They had enough time on Thursday to remove non-essential employees  and diplomatic families from the Middle East. \nAs well all are aware \, since the Islamic Revolution of 1979\, The Islamic Republic of Iran has described Israel as “The Minor Satan” and the United States as “The Great Satan.” There certainly is evidence that the Islamic Republic has been working on intercontinental ballistic missiles.  However\, Israel had acted totally on its own\, on Thursday evening\, and we\, in Israel have been advised to stay close to our shelters\, and are in for a long\, hard campaign. \nIsrael is fighting an existential war today\, but Iran could try to strike at the United States tomorrow. Israel destroyed the Natanz nuclear facility\, and eliminated its top IRGC Commanders\, unaware in their homes\, as well as its top nuclear scientists. \nWhat has happened to the strength of the relationship between the United States and Israel? Is the United States simply relying on Israel to protect its national security interests\, and those of the entire civilized\, free world? \nAre reports of a chilling of relations accurate? What about the reports of the President’s relationship with isolationist influencers\, such as Tucker Carlson\, Candace Owens and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene? \nAnd finally: Israel is fighting an existential war on 7 fronts\,  but the “head of the snake” has always been Tehran. Recent reports from the IAEA say that Iran has enough highly enriched uranium for at least  9 to10  nuclear bombs. Israel does not have the strategic depth to absorb even one bomb.  Does the United States understand that Israel is simply the appetizer\, and that Iran is working on intercontinental ballistic missiles to reach its main course\, the United States\, as well as certain American military installations in the Middle East? Will the United States run out of patience with Iran and assist Israel in its existential struggle? And finally:  Will this US administration provide Israel with the weapons they need to succeed against Iran? \nAbout Our Speaker: Ruthie Blum\, a former adviser at the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\, is an award-winning columnist and a senior contributing editor at JNS\, and a former features editor of the Jerusalem Post\, and the acclaimed author of “To Hell in a Handbasket: Carter\, Obama and the Arab Spring.” Ruthie is a co-host with Ambassador Mark Regev of the JNS-TV podcast “Israel Undiplomatic.” She often writes on Israeli politics and U.S.-Israel relations. Originally from New York\, she moved to Israel in 1977. She is a regular guest on national and international media outlets\, including Fox\, Sky News\, i24News\, Scripps\, ILTV\, WION and Newsmax.

SUMMARY:Alex Traiman and the Cost Benefit Analysis of the War with Iran
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \n  \nSince the 12 Day War with Iran has paused with a ceasefire many questions have evolved regarding the success of the war. Why is Khameini still in power? What has happened to the stockpiles of highly enriched uranium? How long will it take for the regime to rebuild its nuclear weapons facilities? What has happened to the resistance movement within Iran? How does this leave Israel and the United States\, in terms of their ability to project power into the Middle East? What has happened to the Qassam Solomeini doctrine of the terror proxies\, or “rings of fire” surrounding Israel? \nHere to discuss this all is Alex Traiman. \nAbout our Speaker: Alex Traiman is the CEO and Jerusalem bureau chief of the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) and host of “Jerusalem Minute.” A seasoned Israeli journalist\, documentary filmmaker and startup consultant\, he is an expert on Israeli politics and U.S.-Israel relations. He has interviewed top political figures\, including  Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\, most Israeli leaders\, U.S. senators and national security officials with insights featured on major networks like BBC\, Bloomberg\, CBS\, NBC\, Fox and Newsmax. A former NCAA champion fencer and Yeshiva University Sports Hall of Fame member\, he made aliyah in 2004\, and lives in Jerusalem with his wife and five children.

DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here.  \n  \nWhat was accomplished during the 12-day war with Iran\, and how far back have the Islamic Republic’s nuclear ambitions been set? What is on the agenda between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald J. Trump? Will Hamas return the hostages for a 60-day period of calm? With Hamas’ losses within Gaza\, can we really expect to see a new sort of political framework within Gaza? What are the lessons learned from October 7th? \nHere to answer these questions and more is Brigadier General Amir Avivi.

SUMMARY:How Worried Should We Be about What Has Been Left in Iran?
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here. \n  \nThere have been various reports\, coming out of Israel and the United States\, about what has been left in the Islamic Republic of Iran since the 12-day war of last June. There are differing opinions about how much of Fordow\, Natanz and Isfahan remain. However\, the most troubling report is that  there still exists 400 kilograms of highly enriched uranium or 882 lbs\, of UF 6-or uranium hexafluoride\, composed of 60 per cent highly enriched uranium\, enough to make 8 to 10 nuclear bombs. Have the joint forces of Israel and the United States actually finished the job?  Are the ayatollahs determined to finish the job? Will President Trump make good on his promise to devastate the Iranian nuclear facilities if they are to become functional again\, and do we have the “eyes and ears” to be able to make an accurate determination. \nHere to answer these questions and more is the award wining investigative journalist\, Edwin Black. \nAbout Our Speaker: Edwin Black is the award-winning\, New York Times-bestselling author of “IBM and the Holocaust” and the just-released scoop volume “Israel Strikes Iran: Operation Rising Lion — The 20-Year Backstory\,” which can be found at IsraelStrikes.com.

SUMMARY:Hazem Alghabra and the Fate of Religious and Ethnic Minorities in Syria
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \n  \nIn December of 2024\, many people were somewhat relieved that after the 50 year reign of the Alawite family of Hafez and Bashir-al-Assad\, their time at the helm in Syria was coming to a close. The benefit was that manpower and weapons would no longer be smuggled from Tehran\, through Baghdad\, Damascus and ultimately to Hezbollah forces in Beirut\, and throughout Lebanon. \nA new man has emerged\, Ahmed al-Sharaa\, (a.k.a. Abu-Mohammad al-Julani)\, who took control of Syria. Many had erroneously assumed he would be a more moderate force for Syria. However\, last week\, we saw the horrific images from the Druze city of Sweida of women being captured as sex-slaves and raped\, children being kidnapped and murdered\, as well as the wholesale humiliation and slaughter of many men\, women and children. For days\, clashes raged between Druze and local Bedouin forces\, immediately joined by Syrian government forces. More than 1100 people have been killed. \nThroughout this\, we saw over 1\,000 Israeli Druze cross the border fence to enter their Druze brethren in Syria. \nOnly one nation in the world came to their aid\, the state of Israel. \nAs I write this\, Israel is now in talks with Syria. First\, however\, there should be certain benchmarks ascertained: What sort of protections will there be for the Druze community\, the Kurds\, the Christians and the Alawites? How secure will the border be for Israel? Will Israel be able to keep control of its buffer zone to prevent hostile forces from encroaching upon Israel? Will Israel be able to maintain its control of the 10 military bases in southern Syria since the Assad regime fell? \nAbout Our Speaker: Hazem Alghabra\, born in Damascus Syria\, is the founder and president of Frontiers Consultants\, a Washington DC-based consultancy firm that provides public relations and crisis management solutions with a focus on the Middle East and the United States. Prior to starting his firm\, Alghabra held multiple positions with the U.S. Department of State including senior advisor for public affairs at the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs. Alghabra provides daily insight and analysis as a commentator on a vast array of television stations including i24\, Keshet\, Alarabyia\, Sky News\, BBC\, and Alsharq-Bloomberg.

SUMMARY:Re-conquering Gaza--What is at Stake\, Here?
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nThe transcript will be available here \nAs I write these words\, the Israeli Cabinet has just convened and has decided to reoccupy Gaza. This is after 22 months of heartbreaking war\, where the double objectives have been the dismantling of Hamas and the rescuing of the hostages. \nWhat has happened to create a change of military strategy for Israel? \nIsrael has eliminated much of the Hamas leadership\, including Yahya Sinwar on October  16\, 2024\, in Rafah\, Gaza\, Mohammad Deif on July 13\, 2024\, in al-Mawasi\, Gaza and Ismael Haniyeh on July 24\, 2024\, in Tehran\, Iran. Israel estimates that they have eliminated 14\,000 to 20\,000 members of Hamas since the start of the war. Yet\, Hamas has been able to regenerate thousands of young recruits. \nIsrael is not safe as long as Hamas exists. Hamas has displayed itself as a primitive terrorist group that hides behind its own civilians as it murders our own. \nMany of the families of the hostages are deeply concerned\, fearing that this might well risk the lives of their loved ones.  We know\, however\, that the lives of the hostages have been the “life insurance policy” of the Hamas terrorist group. \nYet\, we also know that members of Hamas have been slowly starving to death Israeli hostages captured on October 7\, 2023\, such as 24-year-old Evyatar David and 22 -year-old Ram Bravslavski. \nWe will also assess the prospects for what awaits after this conflict winds down\, including the establishment of a Palestinian state following the conclusion of this conflict\, as envisioned by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer\, French President Emmanuel Macron\, and Irish President Michael D.  Higgins\, among others\,  and how it will affect the geopolitics of the region. \nHere to discuss this escalation of the war is David Wurmser. \nAbout Our Speaker: Dr. David Wurmser is a Senior Analyst for Middle East Affairs at the Center for Security Policy\, as well as a Fellow at the Misgav Institute for National Security and Zionist Strategy. He also is the executive and founding member of the Delphi Global Analysis Group\, LLC – a firm specializing in geopolitical risk analysis and mitigation for infrastructure\, high-tech\, defense and financial firms from the United States\, Japan and India navigating in Israel – – since its founding in 2007. From December 2018 until September 2019\, Dr. Wurmser also served as senior advisor to the U.S. National Security Advisor\, Ambassador John Bolton. \nPrior to this\, Dr. Wurmser was the senior advisor from 2003-2007 to the U.S. Vice President Cheney on Middle East\, proliferation and strategic affairs. Before becoming the senior advisor for the Vice President in 2003\, Dr. Wurmser was the senior advisor to Under Secretary of State John Bolton at the State Department. \nImmediately following the 9/11 attacks\, Dr. Wurmser consulted until January 2002 for the Office of the Secretary of Defense in the U.S. Department of Defense on a war‐related classified project on understanding the nature and strategic significance of terrorist group networks and their interactions with states. \nBefore entering government\, Dr. Wurmser founded the Middle East studies program at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) in 1996. While at AEI Dr. Wurmser\, published Tyranny’s Ally: America’s Failure to Defeat Saddam Hussein. \nDr. Wurmser’s military service includes 11 years of intelligence experience in the U.S. Navy Reserves\, reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander. LCDR Wurmser was mobilized during the Operational Vigilant Warrior following Iraq’s surge toward Kuwait in 1994 to serve on the Iraq Intelligence Task for the DIA. He is the recipient of the prestigious Defense Meritorious Service Medal. \nDr. Wurmser holds a B.A. (political science)\, M.A. (international affairs and international economics) and a Ph.D. (on U.S. foreign policy and Middle East affairs) from the Johns Hopkins University. In addition to his book\, he has published extensively in in major periodicals including: The Wall Street Journal\, Financial Times and Commentary.   \n

SUMMARY:What is Happening on our Northern Border with Syria and Lebanon?
DESCRIPTION:The transcript will be available here\n\n\nOn Monday\, the United Nations Security Council started to debate a French Resolution extending the mandate of UNIFIL for approximately one more year. The UN Security Council is supposed to vote on this on August 25th\, approximately 5 days from now. UNIFIL was established in 1978 to patrol Lebanon’s southern border with Israel. How much has UNIFIL accomplished? Has it turned a blind eye as Hezbollah’s activities\, as well as its arsenal\, along Israel’s northern border has grown? \nAlso\, looking towards Syria\, the United Nations Human Rights Council is investigating the government of Ahmed al-Sharaa as being guilty of war crimes\, particularly against the Druze and the Alawite neighborhoods. What sort of policy can Israel embark upon with Syria to be able to give its citizens defensible borders? \n\nAs assurances have been made that Hezbollah will be disbanded in Lebanon\, and the Syrian government of Ahmed al-Sharaa has been charged with war crimes\, we are inviting Lieutenant Colonel Sarit Zehavi of the Alma Center in Israel to analyze and discuss how Israel can handle all of the myriad demands on its armed forces and how to best protect their civilian population.\nAbout Our Speaker: \nLieutenant Colonel (Res.) Sarit Zehavi is the founder and president of Alma\, a nonprofit and an independent research and education center specializing in Israel’s security challenges on its northern border. Sarit has briefed hundreds of groups and forums\, ranging from US Senators\, Congressmen/women\, and politicians to senior journalists and visiting VIP groups in Israel and overseas. Sarit scripts numerous position papers and updates focusing on Lebanon\, Syria\, and Israel’s national security challenges. She served for 15 years in the Israeli Defense Forces\, specializing in military intelligence\, holds an M.A. in Middle East Studies from Ben-Gurion University\, and is also a member of Forum Devora\, promoting the equal representation of women in key decision-making positions in the fields of national security and foreign policy. Her unique achievements led her to be selected by the Jerusalem Post as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Jews of 2021. \nSarit lives in the Western Galilee.

SUMMARY:Concealing The Truth of What is Actually Happening in Gaza
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \n  \nFear of one’s very life at the hands of Hamas’ brutality is often the result of a journalist or a photographer filing an accurate report regarding what is going on in Gaza. Journalists  and photographers living and working throughout Gaza have learned to fear Hamas’ repressive and fatal consequences for telling the truth. When asked if one can trust a journalist to convey the truth\, one responded\, “Never. They will report what Hamas wants them to write; photograph the pictures Hamas seeks.” A journalist from the New York Times refused to publish photographs indicating evidence of her source receiving Hamas pay slips or being a member listed on Hamas rosters. A New York Times columnist this week accused Israel of “assassinating” Al Jazeera newsman Anas al-Sharif because “Israel is making sure there is no one to document the horror of its war.”  Journalists throughout the international community have come to rely on the inflated figures of the Gazan controlled Ministry of Health. \nCome learn what is truly happening behind the scenes in Gaza\, and how Hamas terrorists and thugs are in control of the information the media is using\, which has resulted in an erosion of international policy in support of Israel. \nAbout our Speaker: \nLenny Ben-David is a Research and Senior Diplomacy Fellow at the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs. He had worked for AIPC for 25 years\, in both Washington and Jerusalem. In 1997\, he left to open an independent consulting firm\, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tapped him to serve as Deputy Chief of Staff in Israel’s Washington Embassy. He is the author of the book American Interests in the Holy Land Revealed in Early Photographs\, and he is completing his next book\, Secrets of World War I in the Holy Land Revealed in Early Photographs

SUMMARY:Lies and Empty Promises: How Abbas fooled the West into Recognition of a Palestinian State
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \nSeveral Western states\, once Israel’s allies\, intend to recognize a Palestinian state in September at the UN. These countries see this recognition as a final stamp of legitimacy to the Abbas-led Palestinian Authority and a punishment of Israel for its war in Gaza. In our conversation\, we ask: What was the lie that Abbas told French President Macron that was used to justify his call for recognition? Why should the Palestinian people\, even more than the PA\, be rejected for statehood? Why is a PA state bad for Israel and the West? And why the US and Israel should respond to the PA statehood farce by designating the PA as a terror organization. Itamar Marcus joins us to provide much-sought answers to all of these questions. \nAbout our Speaker: Itamar Marcus is Founder & Director of Palestinian Media Watch (PMW)\, an Israeli research institute known internationally for its in-depth research of Palestinian society. He has presented PMW findings dozens of times in Congress\, parliaments and conferences. PMW’s reports led to the Taylor Force Act\, Israel’s “Deduction Law\,” and his report on the PA-ICC contacts led to the US imposing sanctions on the PA\, this past July. Itamar is a frequent guest on various international news networks\, and is the author of “Deception: Betraying the Peace Process” & “Teaching Terror to Tots”. He was recognized among the world’s “top 100 people positively influencing Jewish life or the State of Israel.” by Algemeiner.

SUMMARY:Is the Collapse of the Iranian Regime Necessary for Regional Stability?
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \nOver the last several decades\, the Islamic Republic of Iran had established a “ring of fire” around Israel. With the sole exception of the Houthis in Yemen\, Israel has been able to eliminate a great deal of this existential threat. The Islamic Republic used their terror proxies to shield itself and to empower its strategic depth\, The biggest existential threat\, however\, emanates from the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the 12-Day War of June 13th through 24th\, Israel and the United States were able to eliminate a great deal of the nuclear and the ballistic threat\, as well as the cult of hero-worship for Ayatollah Ali Khomeini. This is a grand departure from previous US administrations and their philosophy which served to de-escalate the status of Israel and to embolden the Islamic Republic. Iran is now is encountering a period of destabilization. How likely is it that the Islamic Republic will rebuild their nuclear enrichment and ballistic missile program\, which is a core value of the regime? Will their goals of the elimination of Israel remain unchanged? Where are the regime’s current vulnerabilities? What must Israel and the United States do in order to undermine the regime’s survivability and possibly lead to the collapse of the regime and replace it with a more palatable alternative? \nAbout our Speaker: Barak Seener is an Associate Research Fellow at the Henry Jackson Society and the founder of Strategic Intelligentia and the Gulf Futures Forum. Barak also co-hosts The Geo-Godfather Wars podcast on geopolitical affairs. Previously\, Barak was a Global Intelligence Manager at HSBC and the Middle East Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) on whose behalf he has debriefed international defence and security policy makers and diplomats on matters relating to Middle East security. Barak has lectured at NATO as well as the Royal College for Defense Studies. He also staged the world’s first\, and hugely successful conference in London at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) on Palestinian statehood. This examined the security implications for the Region bringing together leading Israelis\, Palestinians\, US and European representatives in London. Prior to joining RUSI\, Barak was one of the Henry Jackson Society’s founders in Westminster and was the Henry Jackson Society’s Greater Middle East Section Director. \nBarak published a book in 2018 entitled\, ‘Commercial Risks Entering the Iranian Market: Why sanctions make investment in the Islamic Republic of Iran a high-risk proposition.’ \nBarak has published and provided analysis and expert commentary for a range of international broadcasters including Al-Jazeera\, BBC\, CNN\, Chinese CCTV\, Fox News\, Sky News\, Voice of America\, and news outlets such as Bloomberg\, Reuters\, Associated Press\, the Evening Standard\, Jerusalem Post and Xinhua. \nBarak has published in publications including Newsweek\, the National Interest\, the American Interest\, Jane’s Intelligence Review and Jane’s Islamic Affairs Analyst on counter-terrorism\, US-China dynamics\, risks to supply chains\, globalization and the end of the liberal international order\, transatlantic relations\, universal jurisdiction\, nuclear proliferation and Middle East issues including the Arab Spring\, tensions in Libya\, Egypt and Syria\, strategic and security dynamic between Iran and the Gulf\, and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. \n
