SUMMARY:Brigadier General Amir Avivi (Res.) and Creative Solutions to the Palestinian Conflict
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe transcript will be available here \n  \nFor decades\, the same old\, failed paradigm of “land for peace” has been offered to the Palestinians. We have seen that every piece of Israeli land ceded to the Palestinians has been used as a launching pad for further attacks against Israelis\, Jews\, and foreigners. It is time for some new\, strategic thinking. We are delighted that President Trump has dismantled the conventional foreign policy establishment’s thinking and is opening the door to some new “out of the box” formulations. Brigadier General Avivi has come up with some creative solutions to ensure that Israel and her neighbors can survive and thrive for generations to come. \nSarah Stern will be interviewing Brigadier-General Amir Avivi\, Chairman and Founder of the Israel Defense and Security Forum (IDSF) on March 12\, 2025 at 10 a.m. Israel time. This event will be pre-recorded\, and brought to you at 12 noon on Wednesday\, March 12th\, 9 a.m. Pacific time\, and 7 p.m. Israel time. \nAbout our Speaker: Brig. Gen. (Res.) Amir Avivi is the founder and chairman of IDSF. \nDuring his service\, Amir held a series of senior roles in the IDF\, including Deputy Comptroller of the Security Forces\, Director of the Office of the Chief of Staff\, Deputy Commander of the Gaza Division\, Commander of the Sagi Division\, Commander of Batallion 605 and Commander of the School of Combat Engineering. \nIDSF represents a group of 35\,000 reserve officers and operatives from all branches of the Israeli security forces dedicated to guiding the narrative of Israel’s national security needs and ensuring that Israel’s security in the homeland of the Jewish people is never taken for granted. \nAt the core of IDSF lies the belief that Israel’s security must be anchored in its ability to protect itself\, by itself\, while actively thwarting threats to its safety. The authoritative voices of well-known military veterans\, media personalities and national security experts\, are key in disseminating our security strategy for the State of Israel.

SUMMARY:What Are the Ramifications and The National Security Implications of the Israeli Hostage Deal?
DESCRIPTION:The transcript will be available here \nWhile many of us are still feeling a sense of unbridled euphoria to see last Sunday’s release of Romi Gonen\, 24\, Emily Damari\, 28\, and Doron Steinbrecher\, 31\,  and the return into the arms of their loved ones\, we all have lingering concerns regarding the national security implications of this deal. \nHow many hostages will be released over the next 42 days\, and in what condition\, and in exchange for whom? Precisely which terrorists\, exactly\,  will be released from Israeli prisons in exchange for the Israeli hostages? What was the nature of their crimes?  How will this effect Iran\, and all of their terrorist proxies? Will this simply encourage the abduction of more innocent people\, in Israel and around the globe? Does Hamas regard the asymmetrical balance as a victory for their cause? How much of Hamas is left\, and will Israel be able to control the Netzarim crossing and the Philadelphi corridor? If there is a remnant of Hamas left that inspires other young Palestinians\, should this be\, in reality\, construed as a victory for the state of Israel? How will this effect the ongoing instability in Judea and Samaria? \nBrigadier General Amir Avivi is here to answer these questions and more. \nAbout our Speaker: \nAmir Avivi (born 16 April 1969) is a retired Israeli Brigadier General  at Israeli Defense Forces. He served as a military lieutenant at the Defense Establishment Comptroller Unit\, he is the commander of Sagi Brigade and the chief of Israeli general and politician Moshe Ya’alon. \nHe is a very well sought out speaker and expert\, who has appeared regularly on international news outlets. His outlook has made a great impression on policy makers around the globe. \nIn 2020\, he founded the NPO “Habithonistim” (הביטחוניסטים) which consists of mainly high-ranking members of the Israeli security forces\, and has been its leader ever since. In May 2023\, Avivi’s book We Will Not Go Back: How We Will Guarantee Israel’s Security for Generations (לא נשוב אחור: כיצד נבטיח את ביטחון ישראל לדורות) was published.

SUMMARY:Iran\, Hamas\, Hezbollah and Beyond: Looking at 5785 with Clear Eyes
DESCRIPTION:Transcript is available here. \nThis past year has seen the longest war in Israel’s history. We have watched as Israel has tried to pick the pieces up from the tremendous and horrific devastation of October 7th. We marvel at the courage\, determination\, and resilience of the Israeli people\, and especially of the brave men and women of the IDF. Although a great deal of the Hamas infrastructure has been decimated\, and Israel\, with its well-executed maneuvers has knocked out much of Hezbollah’s infrastructure\, ground forces are entering Lebanon as we speak\, and there are still many challenges ahead. \nHow will Israel be able to maintain security over its northern border \, allowing its citizens to return to their homes in safety and security? How will it ensure that Hamas\, or a Hamas-like structure will not re-emerge within Gaza? How can Israel continue to fight on these fronts\, and eliminate the threats from within Judea and Samaria? Will Israel be able to attack the Iranian nuclear infrastructure\, or its oil bases? Can Israel depend on anyone\, other than itself\, to do the job? \nHere to answer these questions and more is General Amir Avivi. \nAbout Our Speaker: Brig. Gen. (Res.) Amir Avivi is the founder and chairman of Israel Defense Security Forum\, or Habithonistim. \nDuring his service\, Amir held a series of senior roles in the IDF\, including Deputy Comptroller of the Security Forces\, Director of the Office of the Chief of Staff\, Deputy Commander of the Gaza Division\, Commander of the Sagi Division\, Commander of Battalion 605 and Commander of the School of Combat Engineering.

SUMMARY:View from the Homefront: A Briefing with Brigadier General (Res.) Amir Avivi
DESCRIPTION:  \nREAD TRANSCRIPT HERE \nAs I write these words\, Israelis are busy preparing their bomb shelters and sealed rooms for war. The assassination of Hamas chief political leader Ismael Haniyah in Tehran\, of Hamas military leader Mohammad Deif in Khan Younis Gaza\, of Hezbollah commander Faud Shakr\, as well as the air strikes over the Houthi stronghold\,  the Yemeni port city of Hodeida\, have put Israel in a perilous position. Every Israeli I have spoken to is proud of their intelligence and military apparatus but is preparing for the worst case scenario. \nIran’s supreme leader\, Ayatollah Ali Khameini\, embarrassed that the assassination of Ismael Haniya occurred to his “guest” in Tehran\, has ordered Iran to strike Israel directly\, saying that “We see avenging his blood our duty”\, and that Israel has prepared the stage “to receive severe punishment.” \nAfter 10 months of fighting in Gaza\, does Israel still have the defensive shield to be able to ensure the protection of their people? Do they have enough offensive weaponry to be able to eliminate the threats from Hamas\, Hezbollah and the Houthis and vanquish their foes? What does this war mean for one of the objectives of the Hamas war\, freeing the hostages? Has enough of Hamas been eliminated at this point in the war? And will the United States\, Jordan\, and the United Kingdom help with Israel’s defense\, as it did last April? \nHere to answer these questions and more is Brigadier General (Res.) Amir Avivi. \nAbout Our Speaker: \nBrig. Gen. (Res.) Amir Avivi is the founder and chairman of Israel Defense and Security Forum\, a group of over 22\,000 reserve officers and operatives from all branches of the Israeli security forces\, dedicated to guiding the narrative of Israel’s security needs and ensuring that Israel’s security in the homeland is never taken for granted. \nAt the core of IDSF lies the belief that Israel’s security must be anchored in its ability to protect itself\, by itself\, while actively thwarting threats to its safety. SUMMARY:Why Must Israel Continue to Fight in Gaza
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n  \n[READ TRANSCRIPT HERE] \n  \nIsrael has faced mounting pressure from the international community as well as from the Biden administration not to finish the job it has begun in Gaza. On Thursday\, while speaking over the phone with Prime Minister Netanyahu\, President Biden said that “an immediate ceasefire is necessary to protect innocent civilians.” An administration official reported that President Biden is very agitated over the killing of seven World Central Kitchen aid workers. \nWhile speaking in Selma\, Alabama in early March Vice President Kamala Harris called for “an immediate cease-fire” in Gaza.  One week ago\,  addressing the Israel-Hamas War\, the Vice President also warned “We have been very clear. It would be a mistake to move into Rafah\, if there would be a military operation”. Asked if the Vice President would be ruling out that there would be consequences if Israel were to invade Rafah\, Ms. Harris said\, “I am ruling out nothing.” \nBeyond that\, some analysts have argued that Israel cannot ever complete the job of eradicating Hamas and that Israel’s operations in Gaza have led to a huge uptick in worldwide antisemitism. \nYet\, last week\, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a visiting Congressional delegation\, that Rafah was “the last stronghold” of Hamas\, and that Israel was “weeks away from victory” in its last existential war against Hamas. The Prime Minister made the analogy to World War II\, saying “leaving a part of the Nazi army in place\, and saying don’t go there..like  leaving a quarter of the German army in place in Berlin.” \nAnd in recent polls\, the vast majority of Israelis support completing the mission in Gaza. \nHere to explain the Israeli position\, and why winning this war is so important\, not just for Israel’s security\, but for all the West\,  is Brigadier General Amir Avivi (Res.) of the Israeli Defense Forces. \nAbout the Speaker: Brigadier General (Ret.) Amir Avivi is the Founder and CEO of Israel’s Defense and Security Forum (IDSF) which is comprised of more than 22\,000 senior reserve/retired officers\, commanders\, and operators from all branches of the Israeli security establishment. Retired from the IDF after more than 30 years of military\, counter-terrorism\, and national security experience\, he held various command positions in the Corps of Engineers leading thousands of soldiers in a dynamic environment combating terrorism. \nBrigadier General Amir Avivi (ret.) concluded his service as the Head of the Auditing and Consulting Department of the Israeli Defense Establishment\, (including the Israel Defense Force\, the Ministry of Defense and Israeli Military Industries). In that position\, Avivi managed more than 100 military auditors and advisors. He was responsible for the audit of military readiness\, budgeting\, procurement\, projects\, bids\, cyber\, logistics\, infrastructure and operations. Avivi fulfilled various command positions in the Corps of Engineers leading thousands of soldiers in a dynamic combat environment. \nAvivi served as Brigade commander\, Deputy Division commander and head of the Military School of Engineers. He also served as the aide-de-camp for the Chief of the General Staff of the IDF\, Lt. General Moshe “Bogie” Yaalon. \nAvivi was at the heart of the policy making process in the Israeli Government and Defense establishment during that term. Avivi also serves as the Principal of the New State Solution working group. Avivi is the Founder & CEO of Habithonistim.

SUMMARY:Update on the War Facing the State of Israel on Several Fronts
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n  \n[READ TRANSCRIPT WILL HERE] \n  \nAfter approximately 80 days of intense fighting in Gaza\, Brigadier General Amir Avivi of the IDF (ret.) will explain the many hardships young IDF soldiers have to overcome in an environment of urban warfare\, where there is approximately a 300-mile “metro” system of deep\, underground tunnels for Hamas rulers to live for months\, where Hebrew recordings of children crying are being made inside dolls to booby-trap soldiers\, and where Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists use women and children as human shields\, using hospitals\, schools and refugee camps\, and inserting themselves inside the Palestinian population. Yet many in the international community want Israel to halt the war before their objectives have been met. \nIn the meantime\, Israel’s northern border near Lebanon has been heating up. On Friday\, Hezbollah strikes killed an IDF officer\, and Israel has therefore stepped up its attacks. As of this writing\, Hezbollah is moving its forces north. It is questionable to know how many of the Hezbollah forces have moved north of the Litani River\, and whether or not they are in compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701. \nWill Israel be drawn into opening up another front in its war? Will Israel be able to attain the goals of its war with Hamas of eliminating the Hamas presence from Gaza\, and rescuing the hostages\, despite attempts by the international community to restrain Israel? \nHere to answer these questions is Brigadier General Amir Avivi\, (Res.) of the IDF. \nAbout the Speaker: Brigadier General (Ret.) Amir Avivi is the Founder and CEO of Israel’s Defense and Security Forum (IDSF) which is comprised of more than 17\,000 senior reserve/retired officers\, commanders\, and operators from all branches of the Israeli security establishment. SUMMARY:Live Israel update with Brigadier General (res.) Amir Avivi
DESCRIPTION:[TRANSCRIPT AVAILABLE HERE] \nIn a recent and deeply tragic turn of events\, a harrowing assault orchestrated by Hamas on Israel during the weekend left an overwhelming toll in its wake. Over 1\,000 precious Israeli lives were lost\, with an additional 3\,418 individuals suffering injuries\, as per the official report from the Israeli Embassy in the United States. Additionally\, preliminary assessments from senior Israeli military officials suggest that Palestinian assailants have taken at least 150 Israelis as hostages. This chilling episode represents an unprecedented scale of terrorism in Israel’s history and sadly\, the largest single loss of Jewish lives since the Holocaust.
