In Memory of Bernie Marcus, Z’L
Bernie Marcus, who grew up in harsh conditions in a small tenement in Newark, New Jersey, became a highly successful entrepreneur and philanthropist. As the brains and founder behind Home Depot, he was very generous to so many charities and institutions, particularly those whose chief concern is the survival of the state of Israel and the Jewish people
Growing up as the son of Russian immigrants, Bernie understood what totalitarianism is and the dangers posed by the Islamic Republic of Iran to the entire Middle East, including the state of Israel.
EMET will remain eternally grateful to Bernie Marcus for his generosity and for his bountiful support. May his memory be as a blessing.
