The political landscape in the Middle East is rapidly changing; the Islamic State continues to control large areas of Syria and Iraq, Russia’s footprint in Syria has increased with its support for Assad, and Iran is continuing to back the Assad regime, and Hezbollah. At the same time, Saudi Arabia and Iran are supporting opposing factions in Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Bahrain. And the Syrian civil war has resulted in the death of nearly 500,000 people.
Why is the violence in the Muslim and Arab world escalating? What does the Western world need to understand about the Middle East to address the increasing turmoil?
Please join us as Dr. Mordechai Kedar explores the various factors that play a role in shaping the events of the region.
