About Us

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit think tank and advocacy center committed to advancing pro-Israel policies, promoting democratic values in the Middle East, and educating policymakers and the public on key issues shaping the U.S.-Israel relationship. Through research, analysis, and public education, we provide credible, nonpartisan resources to inform public discourse and policymaking. We are seeking an energetic and mission-aligned Director of Development to lead our fundraising and donor engagement strategy. Prior experience preferred.

Position Overview

The Director of Development will lead all aspects of fundraising strategy, including individual giving, institutional grants, and donor communications. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term sustainability of our educational and advocacy work by building and nurturing a community of supporters who value our role as a pro-Israel voice in the policy space.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Strategy

Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan to support annual operations and long-term growth.
Lead annual giving campaigns including annual dinner, major donor outreach, and targeted fundraising initiatives.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align fundraising efforts with programmatic priorities and strategic objectives.
Donor Cultivation & Stewardship

Personally cultivate and solicit major donors through regular phone calls, emails, meetings, and events.
Build strong relationships with current and prospective donors who are aligned with our mission and policy values.
Ensure timely and thoughtful donor acknowledgments and recognition.

Foundation & Grant Development

Identify, research, and pursue grant opportunities from private foundations and philanthropic institutions.
Draft persuasive grant proposals, LOIs, and progress reports.
Maintain an active grants calendar and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

Communications & Events

Assist the communications manager in creating compelling fundraising materials that communicate the impact of our educational and advocacy work.
Support the planning and execution of donor briefings, research rollouts, and cultivation events.
Ensure that development messaging is consistent with our nonpartisan, research-based mission.

Data & Operations

Maintain accurate donor records in Donor Docks
Track and report on fundraising performance and donor engagement metrics.
Ensure compliance with 501(c)(3) fundraising guidelines and ethical standards.

Qualifications

Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or development, preferably in a policy, advocacy, or think tank setting.
Proven ability to cultivate and solicit major gifts and foundation support.
Outstanding communication and writing skills, including experience with grant writing.
Strong understanding of 501(c)(3) compliance and the role of nonprofits in policy education.
Familiarity with pro-Israel issues, U.S. foreign policy, or Middle East affairs a strong plus.
Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a collaborative spirit and high attention to detail.
