Yoram Ettinger is an Israeli demographer, diplomat, and right-wing activist. Ettinger is known for advancing the thesis that the Palestinian Authority over-counts Palestinian numbers and fertility, and that Jews will remain a majority within the former territory of Mandate Palestine west of the Jordan River. Ettinger’s demographic forecasts are widely cited by Israeli right-wing politicians in support of annexation of the West Bank, but have been contested by experts. From 1989 to 1992, Ettinger was the minister for congressional affairs at the Israeli embassy to the United States.
