There have been various reports, coming out of Israel and the United States, about what has been left in the Islamic Republic of Iran since the 12-day war of last June. There are differing opinions about how much of Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan remain. However, the most troubling report is that there still exists 400 kilograms of highly enriched uranium or 882 lbs, of UF 6-or uranium hexafluoride, composed of 60 per cent highly enriched uranium, enough to make 8 to 10 nuclear bombs. Have the joint forces of Israel and the United States actually finished the job? Are the ayatollahs determined to finish the job? Will President Trump make good on his promise to devastate the Iranian nuclear facilities if they are to become functional again, and do we have the “eyes and ears” to be able to make an accurate determination.
Here to answer these questions and more is the award wining investigative journalist, Edwin Black.
