Phone Seminar: The Truth from Jerusalem
Featuring Ambassador Yoram Ettinger Thursday, December 29, 2016 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. (ET)
Call-In Number: (712) 432-0075 Participant Code: 397784
Secretary of State John Kerry delivered a scathing attack on the State of Israel in a speech he delivered Wednesday, during which he defended the United States’ decision not to veto the anti-Israel United Nations resolution condemning the “settlements,” and blasted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Kerry’s speech, which lasted more than an hour, was filled with false accusations against the Jewish State, including his remark that “If the choice is one state, Israel can either be Jewish or democratic, it cannot be both, and it won’t ever really be at peace.” His words come on the heels of the US reversing decades-long policy of vetoing diplomatic moves against Israel at the United Nations.
To what extent has Kerry’s speech, and last Friday’s anti-Israel UN resolution, impacted US-Israel relations? What are the political and legal ramifications of the UN resolution? Should we expect the United States to make another move at the UN before Obama leaves office?
Please join us as we explore these questions and more during a phone seminar featuring Ambassador Yoram Ettinger.
