Two organizations set to rouse the American public regarding the true motivations behind Iran’s initiative to resume diplomatic ties to the Western world, in a landmark conference set for this Wednesday.

On January 8, 2014, Sarah Sterns’ Endowment for Middle East Truth (EMET) and Frank Gaffney’s Center for Security Policy (CSP) are hosting a luncheon symposium in Washington, D.C., next to Capitol Hill entitled, “What Are Iran’s True Intentions?”

EMET’s flier explains the premise of the conference. ”As the Obama Administration continues to move forward negotiating with Iran, there has been little attention paid to the underlying motivations of the Islamic Republic of Iran. What is the Iranian end game? What are the ideological motivators of the Islamic regime in its conflict with the United States of America and Israel? Are the genocidal threats issued by Iranian leaders to “wipe Israel off the map” and achieve a “world without America” only posturing? Or are these goals the Iranian regime is committed to achieving?”

The conference will also address truths and rumors about Iranian president Hassan Rouhani. A video distributed with the fliers demonstrates that rumors that Rouhani is a “moderate” may be myths, and that the regime is simply using new tactics in a “charm offensive.”

Last January, EMET gave a similar conference on the regional threats to Israel, also on Capitol Hill. The lecture was part of a monthly series informing Congressional members of issues regarding regional security.

Sarah Stern, Executive Director of EMET, stated that she and “Frank Gaffney of CSP have put together an all-star panel to discuss these questions.”

“We are going to really flesh the problems out,” Stern affirmed.

The conference will also feature Walid Phares, former CIA officer Clare Lopez,  Andrew Bostom, and Arutz Sheva analyst Mark Langfan. The conference will be in session from 12:00pm – 2:00 pm; admission is free and kosher food will be provided, according to the flier.
