After ten days of more than 1,497 rockets raining into central cities across the State of Israel from Hamas in Gaza, repeated rejections by Hamas to agree to a ceasefire, and the discovery of underground tunnels that cross into Israel, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) entered the second phase of Operation Protective Edge on July 17th. The IDF entered the Gaza Strip by ground with the mission to target Hamas tunnels, which can enable terrorists to infiltrate the country and carry out large scale attacks, and stop the terrorist organization’s ability to attack the Jewish State.
Since the beginning of the ground invasion, the IDF has struck more than 720 terror targets in the Gaza Strip and uncovered at least 23 terror tunnels.
Tragically, 29 brave IDF soldiers have been killed since the Operation began.
Please join us as we hear important analysis and updates on Operation Protective Edge and projections for the future from Maj. Gen. (res.) Yaakov Amidror.
