For more than two months, Israel has been confronted by a wave of Palestinian terrorism in the form of stabbings, car-rammings, shootings, and riots throughout the country. The terror stems from the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) vicious campaign of incitement to violence. Palestinians are encouraged to wage attacks against Israelis by PA President Mahmoud Abbas and PA officials, PA-controlled TV, and various clerics. At the same time, the international community is isolating the Jewish State, from the European Union’s recent decision to impose guidelines on labels for Israeli products produced over the pre-1967 lines, to the United Nations’ passage of a number of anti-Israel resolutions late last month. And at our own universities, the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement is continuing to grow among students and faculty.
To discuss the multiple onslaughts on Israel, please join us as we hear from Asaf Romirowsky and Dr. Kenneth W. Stein.
Dr. Asaf Romirowsky is the Executive Director of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (SPME). Trained as a Middle East historian he holds a PhD in Middle East and Mediterranean Studies from King’s College London, UK and has published widely on various aspects of the Arab-Israeli conflict and American foreign policy in the Middle East, as well as on Israeli and Zionist history.
